    i love looking at other peoples Dj setup, like the girls strolling in IKEA or watching Model-Shows!
    always good for some inspiration 😉

    I use Midi Translator so I can use the Launchpad for better looping/rolls, sampler, and the zoom in/out buttons.

    Love it.

    I use Midi Translator with Launchpad so I can have better control over looping and sampler functions, which is so much better than the keyboard.

    The Launchpad is ran through Midi Translator to give me better access to loops and the sampler.
    Works like a dream.

    2 x CDJ900, DJM700, RMX1000, 2 x Seagate 1Tb drives. There another laptop out of shot that is used for Internet access and recording. The stand is custom made from UrbanHause internally there’s a wi-fi router, used as a switch, and a surged protected socket strip with a power inlet and XLR outputs on the legs
    The laptop is running RekordBox which prior to the last update was able to connect to the decks via wireless but is now connected via LAN cable

    its been a little while since my last post (part-time job – 9 hours a day assembly-line, vacation, chaos at the university). Finally found time (and money) to upgrade my “booth” (ironing board, i mean 😉 ) and my gear to my likes.



    • An used Dell XPS M1530 for Djing, my other one for recording (video and sound)
    • Aerial Tank7 Headphones
    • Kontrol S4 (my s2 has a new home, soon)
    • Maschine Mk2 <3
    • Kontrol F1
    • Midifighter 3D
    • Korg Monotron Delay Synth
    • Behringer Xenyx 302 USB-mixer for routing Microphone/Maschine/Monotrone into S4
    • An old but juicy sound-system
    • DIY IKEA DJ-Booth
    • estimated 300km cables

    So much for my update! Happy mixing everyone!

    update to my setup changed out the American Audio VMS4 for a Pioneer DDJ SX and sold one of my NI Kontroler F1.
    I Plan to sell the Radius 3000 and VMS4 and get a new Macbook Pro 15″

    Hey Yaka. Do you like the Pioneer S-DJ05 Monitor Speakers? Did you ever think about getting the 8″ monitors? I was debating about getting the 5’s versus the 8’s or simply going with the Yahama HS80Ms. I had the Mackie MR8mk2, but in my opinion they were prone overheating issues.

    Coltrane09 ye i love them, i did look at the 8″ version when i purchased them, but for the space i had to play with, the 8″ would have been pushing it.

    the 5″ are brilliant for what i need, the sound quality is crisp and they pack a fair punch. the only downside is the price, they are not the cheapest monitors on the market.
