But you can map the Neon to your DJ software I think. Haven’t tried it, but think Terry_42 uses it?

Thanks for the quick answer! The Neon is made for Serato (I’ve looked at other samplers too, like the Audio-M ones right up to Novation launchpads). I don’t think I can use one with software if I have my controller working off the software too. Either way, I don’t want to have to use it with software except when I am programming it. I want to plug it in with a power source and run it through a mixer channel. Hope I get more replies on this. Love this forum.

What’s your regular DJ program? If it support midi-mapped devices I am guessing it should support third-party controllers (like the NEON) as well, no?

But basically you want a stand-alone solution that functions as an analogue play-back device then?

http://m-audio.com/microsites/tfp it says “can operate as standalone sequencer, no computer needed”.

Thank you. Seems more than what I need but I like it! 🙂

If you are using Serato DJ, yes you can use your standard Serato controller (like I use the Terminal Mix 8) and the Neon at the same time, no problem at all and this is how I use it. Only thing you need is 2 free USB connectors.
