MemberI keep a relatively small record box because I’m still starting. But, my ADATA C003 16GB Flash Drive (link) works great for a record box as small as mine. If you tote around your entire music collection, this may not be too appropriate. For less than 20 US dollars, it’s not a bad buy either.

Memberthis should be the other way around in my opinion (not fighting this is just how I do it) 🙂 I have a 500 gb external hd made by western digital, I have my whole music collection, vst collection, sample collection and backup installation files along with serials that I keep locked in my safe, on my laptop I have maybe 250 songs that gets changed and replaced constantly, this way I KNOW my songs inside out and for the random nights that I dont enjoy playing but may do the odd time I add a new file and copy whatever songs on my harddrive over (pop stuff, rock music etc…)

I have a Western Digital External Drive too 🙂
Just 300GB; but Literally Everything I Own is on it 🙂August 23, 2011 at 1:35 am #6169D-Jam
ParticipantI’ve used a 500 GB WD drive as well as a small Maxtor laptop external HD.
Just go for a quality company like WD, Seagate, etc.

ParticipantI very highly recommend this Western Digital passport http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Passport-Essential-Portable/dp/B0041OSQ9S/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1Y6TBB0D7TDZU&colid=CVUT1IEXB5OE
It requires only USB power and for less than 100 bucks I get enough space to hold all of my music for dj’ing, samples for my projects, and the projects themselves for ultimate portability.

Yes 🙂
Western Digital have a 2 Year Guarantee; and (Somehow) Keeps Track of Any Changes you make to the Files on the External Drive (the Reason I bought it); so; if your PC/Laptop Crashes or Fails Completely; the External Drive will have All your Files Safely Tucked Away with Complete Access to them with Simple Plug And Play (this has happened to me);August 23, 2011 at 3:27 pm #6197steve_07
MemberI shall have a look for a decent Western Digital then. Time for a laptop change soon. MacBook pro is too tempting

MemberMacbook pros are going out the window lately, seen soo many top djs reverting back to windows since windows 7, I lke to consider it just a brand name like nike to be honest :), they are for the people that are scared to get there hands dirty with settings and customization 🙂 but thats for another page

MemberI just like the look of them really. I would have no extra use for OSX over windows 7 but they are way over priced!
