In Australia the professional club standard set up is all Pioneer

    2 x CDJ 2000
    1 x DJM 800/900 or DJM 2000

some places also have a pair of Technics 1200 but I honestly can’t remember the
last time I saw someone use vinyl (real or time code)

Most popular software is Traktor then Serato.

USA – St. Louis/Baltimore. This is what I’ve seen from other DJ’s I’ve met, or at clubs and shows to which I have been. Also, keep in mind that St. Louis and Baltimore have a long history of hip-hop culture.

Budget – Numark Mixtracks and Vestax Spins/Typhoons
Midrange – A lot of people use vinyl at clubs! A number of S2/4’s, VCI-300’s, and Novation lauchpads. All sorts of mixers.
    High-end – CDJ 1000/2000’s. APC-40’s. I’m not sure which mixers, since I don’t know a lot about them.
Software – Serato is the king. Then comes traktor. And finally, Ableton.

Theres an upper class bar (the music is mainly ambient, jazz, minimal house etc..) and one of the DJ’s there exclusively spins vinyl. Though she doesn’t beatmatch at all.

Pioneer is the standard for Greece. You might as well see some Allen & Heath mixers rarely…….Havent yet played in a club which had CD decks other than Pioneer. In the rare occasion where a venue will have vinyl decks those will definitely be Technics.

Software wise 99% of the DJs use Traktor, 0.5% Ableton Live and 0.5% Virtual DJ.

Controller-wise, moste people using Traktor do so by using the club’s mixer so they dont actually use controllers – there are of course a lot with NI’s X1, fewer with S4s and even fewer with Akai APC 40 (those using Ableton).

Generally speaking controllers are not that big here in Greece up to now – but I think its starting to settle in
