I have been using a Traktor kontrol s4 for a while now and still love it quite like the look of the new Vestax Vci-400 though very nice

Neither of those suggestions even come close to the OP’s criteria. The s4 would be really awkward in most club booths, where space is limited and generally already taken up by 2 or more CDJ’s plus a mixer. Plus it’s really annoying to carry anyware. Also, its nearly a grand.

Something more along the lines of a vestax controller, they’re much smaller and you can just put some foam on top of a CDJ/turntable, and then wack your controller on top. The VCI 100 is probably the go. Unforunately, most hip hop DJ’s come under fire for using digital systems and controllers, so your kind of stuck there. Of course you could just fuck the system and grab two midifighters and use your existing mixer. Unfortunately theres not much around for ~400.

I would recommend the upcomming Denon MC3000.
Pressrelease on 17/11 as in 2 days and Phil has said there will be a reviw here
in the near future. (Price will be anounced then)
I have the MC6000 wich is a very rubust controller that meets all but two criterias.
Price and weight. It is a bit more expencive and it is rather heavy.
The MC3000 I do think will have the right price but might not be the right weight
because it is a real metal chassies…..

How do you guys/gals think the VCI-300 MKII fits the criteria?

Perfectly, except it’s almost double your budget.

I actually think VCI jogs are the next in the business. Just shows that personal choice matters.

?? Phil, next in buisness ??
After Denon S3700 and better than Pioneer CDJ2000 that is or what??

I have heard from a store that sells all kind of gear that the VCI jogs are really bad
but I have not tested myself…..

Thanks for the responses, everyone! I just ordered a VCI-300 MKII for $425 from Proaudiostar.

Cheers, and happy Dia de Dar Gracias

I meant “best in business”! They are most vinyl-like when used with Serato ITCH. Ultra responsive and nicely weighted.
