    what computer and what controller (setup) are you using. could you somehow have messed up your audio setting inside traktor. distortion and crackles are often a latency problem.

    Asus Core i5 CPU M450 @ 2.40ghz with 8 gig RAM

    Traktor Pro 2.6 with Denon MC3000
    I have tried fiddling with the latency decreasing it to 256 and increasing it to 2000+

    As Gulli said, this is usually a problem with latency. If the Denon has it’s own, separate, software control interface, open that up and make sure everything is set how it should be and then make sure everything in Traktor is set correctly. If the problem doesn’t go away, check your cords but it really sounds like a software/driver/latency issue.

    It might be annoying but uninstalling and reinstalling everything is also an option to consider.
