I would plan on taking twice as much music as I need!

So for 17-02 that’s a 9hr Gig. Average 3 mins a track, call it 180 tracks to fill the time. So I would take double that – 360.

That’s not actually that many tracks when you think about it.

I wouldn’t plan on playing two versions of the same track though – nothing wrong with it if that’s the way the gig goes (and by the time you are several hours in people won’t remember what you played at the start anyway) but I would try not to..

I definitely wouldn’t repeat the same version of the track though. Even if requested 🙂

My top advice for a gig this long wouldn’t actually be anything to do with your music… More to do with you – make sure you eat plenty, drink plenty (not necessarily alcoholic!!) and keep yourself going. This is a long gig and it will take a lot out of you. Don’t just keep going on the adrenaline because it will stop at some point and then you will just collapse – Not Good!!

Despite all that though – enjoy it 🙂

I’d only play a song twice if I played it once and then later in the night most of the crowd is begging to hear it again.

I do agree playing a different remix is a better path.

Beyond that, I’d take bob’s advice.

This is clearly not a mix, nor a track (music), nor a link to a show. And as those are the ingredients that belong in the Mixes, Music and Shows forum, I moved your post to where IT belongs which is in the DJ Booth.
