So I’m guessing u used the T1 with Traktor software, and thus i’m saying, it’s not a feasible option switching ur software to serato dj. even if u plan on using the SZ with Traktor – bad choice, cuz Native Instruments is now focusing only on its poducts and slowly ditching 3rd party controller support.

That said, u can go either for a modular setup with the D2/F1/X1 etc (whatever suits ur taste), or u could go with the Kontrol S8 which is a great piece of hardware and has a relatively compact footprint. If u r quite intrigued by the idea of ditching ur laptop, then u should definitely go for the XDJ-RX provided it is up to scratch for ur needs.

So u basically gotta decide ur worklow and ur needs and see if u wud like to hv ur laptop in the booth, or would u want to leave it at home….. And yea, avoid switching from Traktor to Serato as it will set u back quite a bit.

If you are used to Traktor I would NEVER go for the XDJ-RX. You are used to laptop software and the limited functions of the RX will not satisfy you.
I agree that switching to Serato is also prolly not easy. So while the SZ is great I would not do it.
I would suggest looking into an S4 or S8 from NI.
