    Well not black hole, but it may cause some causality problems…

    Using both at a time is cool, however using both at the same time (aka sending music to both at the same time) can damage the whole thing. So hooking both up is fine as long as you do not overpower the unit by sending a strong signal from both sources at the same time.

    Stick a Yamaha MG06 or something in the middle and have the best of both worlds 🙂

    Indeed. I am currently using a Yamaha MG 10XU and could not be happier. Excellent quality in those Yamaha mixers.
