I don’t know how Serato handles various pitch ranges. I do however think you are putting two things together that are not the same. Speed change is one thing, key lock is another. To get the chipmunk you need to increase the speed with key lock OFF. As long as key lock is on, the software will try to keep the key the same, so no chipmunk, just a very fast song.. Some software, like Cross (DJ) allows you to change the key and keep the speed the same. So you can have chipmunk at the original key. Fun to play around with.

Indeed, Serato lets you change the percentage change of the pitchfader on the fly. You need to consult your manual how to do that on the SX as I currently have no SX to try that on…

Hi! I purchased my DDJ-SX a few hours ago, switched from S4! The DDJ allows you to change the percentage on the fly as Terry said! All you need to do is hold the shift key down, and press the Keylock button while a song isn’t playing! (You’ll see the +8/16/50 under your song BPM on the platter)

Hey guys thank you all for your time and input. RYNO had the exact answer to my question can’t believe it was right in front of me the whole time. Meanwhile i was trying to find it in the SeratoDJ settings!
