Speak to the person who your DJ’ing for. Ask them what they are into, what tracks they are really feeling right now and what their friends like. I’ve been through the exact same situation bro. I had to play some indie music when I’m a Dubstep DJ.
The way I got around it was to just basically play the songs end-on-end. At the end of the day, the people at the party aren’t coming to hear some phenomenal, top draw DJ skills (not saying you don’t have them) they are ultimately there to have a good time. And as long as you play songs they like, they will enjoy the night.
But seriously, have a good talk with whoever is hosting the party, get to know their music tastes and expand from there.
