Has the buzzing stopped using the XLR cables?

Ok, we have to ask these questions. Have the headphones worked in the past? In which case, if you haven’t changed any settings, it is more likely you are looking at a hardware problem.
    What are you listening to?

Best way to check stuff like this (the way I do it anyway) is:
    1) turn all channel faders down
    2) turn the master up about 25-30%
    3) set all EQs to 0
    4) turn of filtering and/or set all filter knobs to 12 o’clock (if you have them of course). This had me fooled once. No sound anywhere until I noticed the filter button was on. Pressed it off and presto!
    5) set crossfader to the middle and/or switch off the crossfader assignment
    6) set cue mix knob fully to cue
    7) turn up the cue gain to about 40-50%
    8) have a second headphone handy to swap (to eliminate problems with the headphone itself)
-> so far we have set the controller so that there are no strange things
    9) load a track (any track)
    10) play the track
    11) gain the track correctly (this also helps establish that there is an actual signal presented to your channel fader
-> at this point we have a track playing (we can see the channel level meters dance around 0dB), but no signal on the main speakers, because the channel fader is still closed. There is also no sound in the headphone (check, it should be totally quiet). You can open the channel fader shortly to confirm that there is now sound coming from the main speakers. Close the channel fader again
    12) press the cue button for the playing track. There should still be no sound over the main speakers, but you should now hear the track in your headphones. Adjust cue gain to a comfortable level.
-> you are now ready, your headphone functions properly. To finish the test, you can do the following
    13) turn the cue mix knob towards master. As you pass the midway point you should start losing the cue signal and the sound goes away (the channel fader is still closed, so no sound is going to the master fader, so you can’t hear the master signal in your headphones.
    14) with no sound in your headphones, start opening up the channel fader, you should now start hearing the same sound in both the main speakers and your headphones.
    15) repeat for the other deck if necessary.
    16) finally you can play another track from the second deck. press the cue button on the second deck and make sure the cue button on the first deck is OFF. Open only the channel fader on the first channel, leave the second closed. Now turn the cue mix knob from cue to master and back and it should go from deck two sound (cue) to deck one sound (master).

    Hope that helps.
