the dj 2 go doesnt have an audio interface, and those cost about $90 – thats how you use headphones. I’d advise against the dj 2 go, simply because youll outgrow it quite quickly.

well in that case my advise would be to get an audio i/o 🙂

Is a cool little unit if your traveling around like backpacking, i used a usb external sound card for headphones this worked pretty good, have plugged the computer audio into my amp and stereo this also worked well. Is good cheap fun for mixing but definatly limited.

Maybe look into a entry-level Hercules controller?

Its small and compact enough to fit in your backpack, and some have in internal i/o, so it saves that space too….while offering 4x the features of the dj2go.

    just something to consider 🙂

I understand what you are saying but you will grow out of this controller in about 3 seconds, then you will have to buy a new controller and a new suitcase in addition to the money you spent on this…

I purchased the DJ2GO when it first came out and loved it. It was my first DJ controller and I think it’s a great purchase. Sure you’ll very quickly outgrow it, but personally I upgraded to about the biggest piece of kit you could get (Stanton SCS.1), so I still pull it out now and again to use in front of the TV, etc.

Even now when I gig with my “pro” gear, I still throw this in the bag as a just-in-case. It’s the perfect size to be a take-anywhere back up. Plus, add a Numark DJio and Akai LP8 and you have a very capable, yet portable setup.

I’m going for the dj2go as well after Christmas, I feel it would be a nice tool to get the basics of mixing two tracks together, I’m going with the splitter cable rather than a USB card. Good luck 🙂
