    Hi Olly,

if you (or other DJs) are the only one playing from the Twitch, you should not have an issue. You can adjust the PA or AMPs according the loudness you need, just don’t hit the reds (!).
If you are performing after another DJ with CDJs, powdered controller, mixer orso, you might find that your sound will be less loud, especially when the previous DJ was working at the limits of the PA.
A good way to add some ‘bite’ to your sound would be to connect both master and booth (oh, set the booth output switch at the back to ‘main’ first) to the in house mixer. You will add some dBs in loudness. You could also buy a small line AMP that adds 2-3 dB to your line level, before going to the in house mixer. The latter will leave your booth output free.

    regards,

ahh ok thank you, unfortunately I will be sharing the booth with other controllers/CDJS. I’ll definitely try running it through the house mixer, but could you possibly recommend a small line AMP just in case?

    thanks,
    Olly

    Olly,

Plenty of choice. Just check serato or Novation forum for some suggestions. I forgot the name, they talk at serato about some phone/line amp thingy..
Actually, anything like a small mixer will help you as well..

hi mate, i have gotten the twitch and after trying many contollers loving this one small and has al I need.

to get back to your story yes its output is bad is very low.

so my fix is I am using s mini mixer (DAP SC-5) it isn’t the best. balance the output for distortion free sound.I use this when I play in clubs.

my other option is the Y CABLE using the main and bootout made it myself.have ordered the cables and buy cutting them I soldered left main and left boot together and right main/boot together.

be aware you wil get fase problems if u dont crank the volume all the way on both channels. and I use shift/filter to balance my channels output.

this works very well and cheap way of gaining nore output from novation twitch

I have a Mixtrack Pro 2, which isn’t particularly loud, the cue volume is very low in a loud environment… I use an analog mixer to get some more OOMPH out of it… gaining it to about 0DB with the mixer gain, then the mixer can put out a strong signal to the PA… I use another input on the other side of the mixer to amplify my cue output and plug my phones into the mixer to get loud volume in the phones… I would suspect that through gain staging, you should be able to get good sound into the PA from a decent analog mixer, and won’t need any other bits of gear. I don’t push the NTP2 to the limits anymore and use the gain and master volume on the mixer to get what I need. Hope this helps….. Moonshadow
