I am expecting the Twitch 2 eventually (because of the massive success of the Twitch), but they haven’t dropped any hints at all that it is coming soon. Usually, They’ll drop hints every now and then, like a lil prototype they’re building or such. There’s been none of that so far, so i’d say it’s at least a couple years off.

Also, Nice choice of controller. Now, wanna buy me one? ^-^

Well things can happen fast sometimes… Pioneer was long absent from “real” controllers and now they are releasing one monthly it seems…

But I have not yet seen any evidence of a new twitch around the corner.

Musikmesse Frankfurt is in March, so maybe we get to know more there.

It’s always tempting to wait, but the Twitch is really an excellent controller, so I doubt you’d struggle too much to sell it on. I suspect a LOT of people with other controllers are waiting for the Twitch 2 as well, so they can snaffle up an original Twitch as a secondary portable controller…

I’d buy the Twitch now, and if in 9 months a second revision comes out, sell it on and upgrade. Plus, you’ll have spent those months mastering it, improving your skills and having a massive amount of fun. Oh, and you’ll get Serato DJ with the Twitch for no extra cost – who knows whether the Twitch 2 would come with the full version, or just the Intro version instead… hard to predict…

In summary, if you think you’ll like the Twitch, I’m almost certain you will love it. And actually, even if you’re not that into it in theory, once you’ve had a go most people love it anyway.

    I know I love mine 🙂

thankyou so much guys, great responses! i feel much more confident now 🙂

I do have one more question if you’ll indulge me. my technical skills are still improving, and one my current controller the mixtrack pro 2, i often miss the beat when dropping in and have to phase match with the jogwheels. and word on how easy it is to phasematch with the touch strip?

I find it very easy to nudge with the touch strips, their resolution is good and you can do bigger or smaller ‘swipes’ depending on how subtle/big you want the change to be – you’ll get used to it within a week or two no problem, it’s quite intuitive.

I’m a huge fan of my twitch, aside from the very real low audio output problem. I love having rotary knobs for pitch control and doubt I could ever go back to faders for pitch. My twitch is getting antiquated and probably only has a year or so left in it before the soundcard gives out again (already had it fixed once through guitar center). I really hope they come out with a new one soon, preferably a 4 channel, but that isn’t entirely necessary. I have had my eye on the DDJ-SR but the very small pitch faders make it a nightmare to use since I don’t sync. There really ins’t anything on the market that has the portability of the twitch, Serato, and pitch knobs… not to mention the performance pads. I know plenty of people with the Allen&Heath that are holding off until a new 4 channel rotary pitch. Hopefully someone will wise up soon and fill that market hole.
