    Hi,
I think the problem is because you set source to external.
Go to Preferences -> Mix Recorder -> Source -> Internal.
I think it should fix it, run a little check & try to record like 10 seconds and hopefully you’ll be able to listen to what you’ve recorded.

Just like Naor says, you hit trouble because you were set to external recording. External recording is for when you’re using some kind of external recording device, like a old fashioned dictophone basically. Internal recording sets the master output to route through Traktor’s own (“internal”) recorder, which is what you want.

Yep. As mentioned earlier, run a test just to be on the safe side. Let me take the time to save you more trouble going forward. Once you figure out how to record your mix be sure to check on your “recording gain”. The knob is located in the same window as the recording button. I have my recording gain set to +6 dB which works for me. I once had it set to 0 dB which is the default setting and wondered why the mix during playback wasn’t as loud as the original song when I played the file via my iPod in the car. It was difficult to tell if the mix was okay during playback on the computer, but very noticeable while playing in the car.
