LOL – we’re expecting them soon.

I would not get my hopes up to high though. Over the years I had Behringer gear from time to time:
    – PA Speakers
    – PA Mixer
    – Studio Mixer
    – Guitar Amp (the one looking like a 5501)
    – Monitor Speakers (Those that look like Adams)

And honestly: You get what you pay for. The PA speakers were loud, where they anywhere near the Peaveys I have now – NO. The PA mixer did his job, did he hold up… no, got a Yamaha now and I know why… same with the studio mixer. The guitar amp looked like a Marshall, even had tubes, but is sounded like a chainsaw and the monitors while looking like Adams… I have replaced with KRKs cheap line and they are still 2000% better.

I learned this lesson over and over: If something is to cheap to be true, it is cheap and not true. Eventually it will get the job done for a time, but you will buy twice.
I am sorry if this sounds like a rant, but I have kids that I kind of mentor that bug me about Behringer stuff all the time and this is what I feel obligated to tell them. By no means is their stuff total crap or anything, but you simply will only get what you pay for.

They have a 3 year guarantee on all their gear now though, which I find interesting.

The problems I had Phil were not really breaking down totally. The gear just acted weird. Like the one mixer you had channels that came out more silent then others at the master and stuff like that. One after 6 months (which is within warranty) and they told me “that is well within limits”…. Speakers where one speaker does sound different than the other one of the same model… etc. etc.
Sad was that the gear would have probably been good enough to resell, but I would have felt really bad about it so it is still sitting in my basement or I just accidentally “left it somewhere”…

    Re-up for any new news?
Also, what’s that company that makes those cut out decals you can put on your controllers?

I’ve only ever bought two Behringer products, a guitar effects pedal and later a Bugera valve amp (Bugera being a sub-company I understand). The pedal’s footswitch broke after less than a week and the amp went back for a refund straight away after problems with the sound quality.

Behringer is looking for local DJs for NAMM presentations so I guess NAMM 2013 is where they introduce these.

I indeed hope that their QA is better, not fun taking flaky equipment to shows.

I use Behringer now in my equipment. I have a xenyx 502 and a 802 mixer, EP2500 amp for my subs, also have (2) Behringer Eurolive B212B and (2) b1220 speeakers for a back up PA that has a Behringer PMP515 mixer amp and for kicks a Behringer UCA222 USB sound card for podcasting and EQ, Crossovers too from them. ALL these products I own, and I’ve had NO Problems. There are time we can get bad eqiupment and it happens even with the best. But for meduim use, they are ok. 🙂 They just need love. If your Gig-ing alot , Like Terry said PAY MORE, to have the good stuff that will not crapout after heavy use. I Do have Mackie SM450 pair and they are work horses. If you do more shows in Live bands and DJing you get more better equipment that will last. Its all up to you and how you use it;)

I just got tired of waiting for the CMD series as Behringer kept moving the release dates from August to November to December, you get the point, it goes on.

I followed 2 threads on 2 websites and the Behringer rep did not give clear answers on the release dates. What he was clear about were the changes made to the firmware of the CMD series.

Then came Denon’s Holiday sale. How can I pass up of a 55% off for a 4 deck controller that is pro-built MC3000?

So, goodbye Behringer. Hello Denon! 🙂

They keep saying the CMD series will be ready when it’s ready.

I have a feeling they’ll debut them at NAMM 2013 and then they’ll finally be on sale.

By the time it becomes ready, I have a feeling that other controllers would also be ready. 🙂

I am keeping my fingers crossed for Musikmesse 2013, maybe they can show something off there (and I can play around with it for an hour or so hehe).

I thought it was pretty much assumed they would show the units at NAMM. Especially as Behringer is trying to recruit DJs to play at NAMM 2013.
