    1. Your amp has to much power, there is nothing to prevent that and as volume and power are not linear this is not so good.

    2. Hard to tell, your amp has too much power and I am not getting into it and then you make us responsible for blowing your speakers.

    3. Yes, you should have asked first. None of the equipment you purchased would have been my first choice and none of it was so cheap that you could say it was a bargain.

    4. Very likely.

    You should have read first:

If you can return the audio gear, at the very least, I would do it. As Terry said, there are no bargains in pro audio and that setup is bound to disappoint you in time.

A pair of active speakers made by a reputable company (Yamaha, QSC, Mackie, EV, JBL) would be a much better starting point.

The RMX controller is old as sin, but if you’re just starting out it would be okay (although you’d be better off with a Mixtrack Pro or practically anything made by Reloop or Denon).

Don’t get too down on yourself. There are a lot of pretenders in pro audio who are out to make you think you can get by while spending less, but in the end you’re just wasting your money. Thankfully this board was here before I made the same mistake a few years back.

Too much power? No sure way to reduce this?

Would you suggest running the speakers in series or parallel circuit?

I’ll look into returning these speakers, however I used them the other day and they sounded pretty clear and very loud

No over time you will blow the speakers and the amp is actually quite bad with its noise and non linear distribution.
