    Hi

    I am very new to DJing so the following might seem stupid!

    I have installed Traktor Pro 2.5.0 on my system (Windows 7). Since I do not own a controller as of now, I wanna use my keyboard instead. Also, I bought a Creative 5.1 Sound Blaster Pro Sound Card and Creative 5.1 speakers (for practice).

    My issue is that the sound card is not splitting the sound between the speakers and the headphones.

    I have tried all sorts of things in Audio Setup; however, the same sound comes from Output Monitor as well as Output Master. In Audio Setup, I chose Sound Blaster x-fi surrond pro 5.1 as the audio device and Conexant SmartAudio HD as the built-in Soundcard.

    Someone please help! I will be buying an S4 soon (but that’s 3 months from now) but I need to practice for the time being.

    The Soundblaster is not made to split the sound. So basically as far as I can tell from the specs of the soundblaster this is simply not possible.

    You may have to buy a better soundcard. Something like the Native Instruments Audio 6 if you’re on a budget.
