Okay, so the text is good now

What would you suggest to replace the diamond then? I’d like to have a small logo similar to how Tiesto has one.

I think waveforms seem more “techno”.

Maybe try a triangle with sides that curve inward, or some shape with thick lines the way half of the soundcloud logo does.

    New Prototype on black

    New Prototype on White
(the middle would still be red, but I only had MS paint to work with)

So, hoping these ‘inspired by’ logos wouldn’t potentially get me in trouble. It is based off the ‘sentry’ from the game Portal Which looks like this:

    Portal Turret

I like where you’re going. Maybe do a smoother/geometrical version of that robot’s head looking straight at you.

I know I said the “lines of sound”, but I think simpler/smoother would work.

Next time you post, toss your “SENTRI” text with it so we get the full view.

Even I need help with a logo. Basically what I’m using now is my name through a font, but I’m looking to make a professional looking logo. Any ideas to where I can start? I’ve tried out all the fonts on my computer but I couldn’t find a good one.

While one can use fonts to create their logo, it will be pretty visible to folks looking at it that it was made that way. I find it very beneficial to spend time practicing lettering – I would highly recommend looking at a lot of graffiti, pick up the styles and use that.

Great Article here as I have been having problem with thinking of what logo I should use or what my name would look like because I just write it as Dj Bounty . My friends and family have been asking me for my mix to be online but I couldn’t put any mix online yet because I don’t have a logo and nice jingles(voice over) to put in my mix . I will appreciate any help with this . Thanks

You don’t really need either to put a mix online. Don’t let that stop you.

Yeah, I was just using my picture to post my mixes until quite recently. I still don’t have a logo with my name, just an iconographic caricature of myself.

Hi deathy! Long time since I’ve heard from you!

I really like your icon that you’ve made, it almost perfect. But what if someone sees that icon somewhere online, and want to search for you, how will they do so if you don’t include your name?

The graffiti is, of course, a good starting point and there’s quite a lot to be found there. Here’s what I’ve made so far. I’m pretty happy with it but I just want some more feedback from others to see what they think. The black-and-white scheme will make it visible across most of the colour backgrounds that I can throw behind it and it also makes it easier to morph it into different colours if I choose to.

What I’m not sure about is the size and format. Currently it is a 1920 x 1080 PNG with a transparent background. Is this is best format to keep it in?

This is how it currently looks like

Yeah, keep your base version as high resolution as you can.

    Tonecraft…what’s your branding/image?

    What genres do you play?

    What DJs/Producers do you like/respect?

What’s your DJ style…in terms of long blends, or short edits, or turntablism, or some combo.

I’m mainly trying to see if your design fits the impression you want people to have of you.

After a week of my account being out of wack, I am back.

During this time, I have simplified my design and have a logo that I am actually quite happy with.

    Sentri Logo White

    Sentri Logo Black

I like it. Fly with it.

    Nice one, Sentri!

Hi D-Jam! I mostly play the commercial electronic dance music, you know, like progressive house, big room, trance with an occasional dubstep or DnB track. I like AvB, Tiesto and Hardwell.

I’m more of a producer than a DJ. I host a podcast where I throw in the some tunes that I like. Though whenever I play, I go freestyle with random tracks and smooth transitions [not necessarily long, may even be quick, but fluid].

My logo represents my cheesy style and easy-going attitude. Based on the facts I mentioned, I think I’ve done a decent job with the logo, I went through my favourite artists’, I tried different shapes and fonts and I’ve kept it original.

    Your thoughts?
