I use the Xone XD40

+ compact easily fits in my bag with my S4
+ price (their not $200 like some other head gear)
– sound could be punchier when the speakers are on loud
– the rotating cups are a bit fussy when I pull them between my neck and ear

Technics rp dh 1200 IMO good quality overall but for me a 6,6 guy with a big head they arent as confortable

Got Pioneers hdj 2000 very confortable great sounds too but cable looks heap and weak besides the technics

Technics RPDJ1200’s

Good: 1 pair: gigged constantly for 17 years and still going strong.
Bad: The rotary mechanism on the right cup is broken and is taped up plus the cups are well worn. 😉

bad: generic look, plastic leather immitation

Reloop HD-20
good: sound, built like a tank
bad: heavy, do not fold up nicely

Sennheiser HD 25
good: sound quality is the best there is, user repairable, all parts are purchasable almost everywhere in the world
bad: pricey, look cheap

Numark HF125 – yes I know not your high end cans lol but a vote for these little gems!!

Good – Price, Good clear loud sound, firm on the head tightness wise, small & light, and they are just wicked for radio shows & club work, love em.

Bad – They havn’t got a DrDre or 50Euro sticker on them, the lead could be longer as I cant get a drink from the kitchen and be in the studio at the same time & it is a pain in the neck (literary) when you forget the length and it floors you unexpectedly when you get to far away…

hope you enjoy my tongue n cheek review of these little beauties

Sennheiser HD25-1 ii

Good: Excellent sound. Excellent isolation. Completely user replaceable parts. Surprisingly durable.

Bad: Can’t fold them up like some other high end models.

Good: Sound quality is amazing and it is very comfortable. Being able to switch from mono-stereo is very convenient.

Bad: Heavy, makes being a cyclops DJ kinda difficult. Also the bag that it comes with is nice but too small.

Good thing…they are more solid/durable than any DJ headphones out there.

Bad thing…they aren’t very “fashionable”, and do not have as much bass as the DJ headphones out there.

Good:
Great sound quality, good isolation, near indestructable design.

Bad:
Plain looking.

Pioneer HDJ 1000
The Bad:

• Broke left-ear when using it for the second time
• Broke right-ear when using it for the fifth time

The Good:

• Glued ears are so much stronger …
