Loved it, Mate and cant really fault it, unless im hyper hyper critical, the levels / gains when you came out of fatboy slim tune at the end were a little out… wasnt a biggie though.. Timings were spot on and transitions were excellent!
Hey i STILL do that after 20 years lol!
To be honest live you’ll get away with it, in fact the crowd will buzz off tweaking the mid / hi eq’s to give the kicks on the incoming tune more presence ( Shhh its a secret 😉 ) but remember to bring them back in line once the transition is done, or you’ll risk taking each mix higher and higher every time and clipping eventually
Recording a mix is a bit different because the audience can rewind and listen over n over.. And on that point i have a mate who is older and a million times more experienced then me, who when recording a mix, even though to my ears is note, gain and drop perfect, he will run that “Perfect” mix through Cubase until he’s satisfied
Nice work mate ! I had it on the background today and there was something interesting at every transition. Really enjoyed it (and that’s coming from a trance person !) Especially like the track “Deeply Into You” you bring in it 3:30..is that the King Kornelius remix ?
Thanks for the information U31! Ill take that into consideration right away and I appreciate ya sharing some secrets! Everything and anything that will help me im more than gracious to hear! :). And I know how your fiend feels hahah, I’m harder on myself than any critic is.
Thanks Eros! I’m Glad ya liked it and I really appreciate ya gave it a listen even though your more into trance. And yup! That is the one.
Every good DJ i know is harder on themself then any critic, i’m sure its what keeps them good!
For example, your mix, its sounds great to me, but you, i bet when YOU listen to the rip, your thinking “i could have brought a certain choon in better then that, i could have done that differently to get it sounding better”
Exactly! Every single mix I make/play, I always find things wrong or things I should’ve done. Even though people say it sounded awesome, I always think of ways of improving.
