Sounds like your usb port is going to sleep. There are different ways to stop this. You can try from power options/*your power plan*/USB/allow suspend or device manager/USB(various USB lists)/power management/uncheck ‘allow computer to switch off to save power’.

*your power planĀ  is the current power plan that is active and depending on pc can have various different names.

I’m on power plan but I cannot see the USB section, where abouts is it on my computer

I went by a different path but I have now unchecked all boxes for USB ports that say “allow computer to turn off to save power” and I will let you know if the problem still occurs. Thanks!

I’ve done everything you suggested but I’m afraid the problem is still occurring, is there anything else you would recommend?

Maybe see if there is updated driver? If not , maybe an uninstall and reinstall of the driver you have. I would also suggest that the ns7 is disconnected when you do this.

I have tried this on multiple occasions yet I still experience the problem

The problem is that some Toshiba laptops have very weak USB controllers in them.

Try getting a cheap USB 2 hub that is powered (aka has its own power cord and adapter) and try running the NS7 over this hub. Such a hub usually costs like 10 bucks.

I have switched to a powered usb-hub as standard best practice. I have it fixed to my flightcase and my controller is plugged into it permanently as is my harddisk/external ssd.

I only use the USB port on the MB Pro (which only has 2 to begin with) for the occassional usb-stick and that is it.

    Greetinx.
