Hey and welcome to our forums!

As for the S1 it simply is an older model and does have way less features than the SX.
So yes the SX will be a serious upgrade.
The SX already has 4 deck software control, so I do not see the necessity to add CDJs to it, as the CDJs will not work through software with the SX. Honestly I would save my money and only buy the SX.

If The CDJ Will not Work through The Software with the SX then What is the Purpose of its Stand Alone Mixer?

Or What is The Purpose of The Stand Alone Mixer?

Cause I Want To Know If DJ COntrollers Are Better Than CDJ’s

Because in my own words, for Traveling Example to my Gig i would Choose Dj Controller Because CDJ’s Are Heavy and Im only 14 Years Old. But i am very Concious about The Sound Quality

Don’t worry young friend. CDJs are NOT! better than a good controller, not in sound, not in build quality and definitely not in features.

As Chuck said, almost any mid range controllers beats a CDJ setup (even a full blown Nexus) in features and build quality.
The only thing is that CDJs can be used with CDs still. Which in most cases does not make sense anymore unless you want to carry heavy crates of CDs instead of one laptop…

The reason for the standalone mixer is, that you can use the SX even when the laptop should fail with any kind of media player. Some people plug in an mp3 player or 2 in case of an emergency.
However I have to say I have been DJing with controllers exclusively for about 4-5 years now and it never happened to me that my laptop failed me, but I do only use Macs.

So it means DJ Controllers are better Than CDJ’s?
Cause i want to Upgrade to a professional DJ Gear even it is not a CDJ atleast it has the Features,Good Build Quality,Good Looking and provides XLR
As much as Possible Pioneer Products and Compatible for Serato

Can Somebody Help me to Choose the perfect DJ Gear For me ?
I will appreciate your Suggestions guyz

P.S. What is the Difference Between 2 channel Controller and a 4 Channel Controller?

Well if you want Pioneer then the gear for you is either the DDJ-SX or if you can cope with the weight the DDJ-SZ.
Both are very professional grade controllers.
I would prefer the cheaper SX, as it has almost all the features of the SZ in a smaller package and hence is way more portable.

The difference between 2 and 4 channels is: You have only 2 channels on a 2 channel controller and 4 channels (4 decks if you will) on a 4 channel controller.
Most pro grade controllers are 4 channel: DDJ-SX, DDJ-SZ, reloop Terminal Mix 8, Vestax VCI-400, Denon MC6000 MkII, which are the pro grade Serato controllers.

All these controllers are pro grade and I have seen professional DJs use them on festivals or highend clubs (Ministry of Sound, Octagon, Paradise Palace, Taxi Disco,…)

I each such situation you will have a technician at your service who will take over setup of your controller and laptop for you. So you basically give them your gear and they set it up in the booth.
In lower end clubs or smaller type festivals sometimes you have to do the final setup in the booth yourself.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TERRY 🙂

    My final Decision is
    I will Upgrade my DDJ-s1 to DDJ-sx
Cause i think DDJ-sx has the Build quality i think
    is it Full metal?
Cause i dont want a Plastic DJ Gear it looks Unprofessional

And DDJ-sx is a Professional Gear
I cant afford DDJ-sz because it is way over the price and also it is large
    but have a Great Look!

Thanks for your feedback, we try to help where we can.

The main parts of the SX are full metal.
There are some parts that you could say are plastic, but it is not like the cheap plastic that low end gear comes with, but a high grade magnesium polycarbonate that is actually as strong as aluminium. It is the same material that they use for the base of the CDJ Nexus player (so also the CDJs and the SZ share the same “plastic”) and on their DJM Nexus mixers.

So no worries about it looking cheap and not being durable. It is pro grade gear.
