It’s good dude. My opinion about this is that the songs sometimes they don’t belong to the same genere and for me sounds strange. Don’t take it seriously or bad, it’s my opinion and I’m a noobie too!! I follow you in mix cloud to search more about you! 😉 Keep spin it!

Hey nice first mix. I’ve been DJing for over a year now and I still use a Mixtrack Quad (with the DDJ SP1). As for the mix, just make sure that the songs flow (learn your music before you mix it). Learns the breaks, build ups, drops of the songs and try to put them together like a puzzle. Pieces best go together when they fit. Most of all just go for it, if you’ve just started DJing you’re bound to hear more advice and criticism but DON’T get discouraged, try to take in the advice if it is helpful and keep pushing on, you’re getting closer and closer to being a better DJ. Cheers!

Cheers Enrique. I followed you on Mixcloud (you’re not following me atm lol, follow me back!) and Twitter. My other social network details are now on my profile if you wanna add/follow me on these!

And cheers Kritical Sound! When you say flow and to learn before mixing, is that so the mixes are done better or the songs sound more similar or sticking to one genre or…? I always have been looking at intros and outros to see what of those work, or maybe not learning them thoroughly enough lol. Cheers for the advice anyway 🙂 Maybe putting different types of house on one mixtape ain’t the best idea lol.

A refrain you will hear repeated over and over here (and on most other DJ forums) – ultimately, trust your ears. That doesn’t mean they’re always right, but you can train them to be much more reliable. Practice constantly, and you will start to be able to hear what sounds good to you, and that is how you will define your sound.

That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take advantage of every information resource you can, of course, but those resources are not going to be able to tell you what sounds good to you… they’ll just help you to shape your style to fit your taste.

I enjoyed the mix, although I admit I was working at the time so didn’t listen closely to your technique so I can’t comment much on that, sorry.
