Congratulations! Yes Phil’s course is really good. He nails the basics very nicely.

Good for you bro! I also did the course and have had 3 gigs under the belt and progressing. I only do it part time since I have a job that has to be my priority but it does not stop my drive.

Honestly with out Phil’s course I would have never taken the steps to dj. Congrats and keep plugging away.

I’m also a part-timer. I have 9-5 as well as an entertainment company on the side. I have no intentions of trying to dj clubs, etc. I’m really only interested in do private parties, cookouts, holiday parties, and perhaps a regular gig at a bar/lounge maybe. I’d even consider doing weddings in time.

Then we have a similar mind set. I would be incredibly happy 2 gigs a week. I’m lucky my dad is a sound guy for many local bands so any time I need a PA system I have it. But i have always wanted to learn to mix music but with all the equipment needed then it was not cost efficient. Enter the digital age and here we go.

    BigSyd,

This is an excellent write-up and feedback. It is helpful to all and gives a wealthof optimism and encouragement. I recall when you asking questions about how to set up the PA equipment here.
    Well done and keep posting…..
