    NADALSCORE: 16 / 20
    BEATMATCHING: 4
    TRANSITION: 4
    CONTENT SELECTION: 5
    OVERALL DIRECTION: 3

Thanks for posting. Not sure what you mean by “live” set. Does this mean you were Djing out at a club on a paid gig? Otherwise this should not be called a “live” set. Just slap a title on your production, to make it recognizable and searchable.

The set clocks in at just under 60 minutes. The sets I review and score should be between 60 and 90 minutes in length (1 pt off in OVERALL DIRECTION category).

Comments are disabled on the soundcloud page. Might be better to enable comments to allow for listener feedback.

No tracklisting included. Unfortunately this impacts scoring (1 pt off in OVERALL DIRECTION category). Along with a tracklisting you can also embed labels and artists cited in your mix using the soundcloud tags. This will make your mix indexable and might (in theory) help drive traffic to your mix page. Self-promotion is key for us DJs.

Excellent intro track – good choice, and great track selection, overall, musical sensibilities remind me of Jeff Mills, Freaky Chakra and stuff from the Drumcode label. What’s the track at 10:25?

Cool artwork, although the bright colors don’t match the spirit of the music.

You need to work on your beatmatching better (example @ 9:21); it’s sloppy, at times (and better at others). You might try beatgridding your tracks beforehand, use the metronome (cut the highs to hear the metronome, beatgrid, then turn metronome off). Good beatmatching example at 18:33 (and then it goes off by a beat unfortunately).

Good use of FX but keep working at it, using Fx sparingly. Newbie DJs should in theory stay away from FX altogether, and demonstrate their skills in other ways.

Overall impression: you’ve picked a great selection of tracks. Your knowledge of dance music is in evidence. It’s clear you’re focused and into this. This is techno in its purest form, and it sounds awesome. That said, there’s little commercial value to this music unfortunately, something perhaps to think about as you start promoting yourself with clubs and radio (that is, if you plan on getting paid for Djing).

Thanks for the feedback djnadal, this mix was a live set from a private Halloween venue and it was my very first set, i was very nervous, i did messed up most part of it, I am still practicing on my mixing, smoothing and good trimming also i will use ur tips, thanks for the help.

I will be posting more sets again mostly mixing live from my studio and i am planing on starting my own podcast and radio shows soon, I like to share my own talent and mixes out there to get exposed and getting peoples feedback’s, i suppose it is a good way to start.

I like ur score its very well organized overall its a perfect score for my knowledge, i will post the track listing here or tag it on soundcloud, most of my fav techno selections are from drumcode, clr yes and the track at 10:25 ur referring too is called “vazquez-toxic smile(original_mix)” .

Thanks again for the great review it helps allot!
