I love my S4 because there’s so many different things I can do with it, it’s small, light and portable. I love how it feels, I love everything except for the build quality of some knobs and buttons.

I love my NS7 because it’s bulky, heavy and um .. sexy? No, really, it just feels very sturdy, responsive and professional. Which makes me sometimes almost feel like a pro 🙂 It also works very well with any software, maybe except the one it ships with. And it really does look smug.

When the NS7 is too much mojo to carry around, I love the MixTrack Pro 2 for the highly portable usability.

I love the S2 and F1 combo because I can either play in a very intuitive simple style with Traktor, or use crazy mappings and spice things up.

One of my controllers; the maschine mikro is awesome because I can use it to produce in maschine, as a midi controller in ableton or to control my cue points and effects in Traktor. Flexibilitiy is key. It is also small, portable but packs crazy power 😉 God I can go on for days here lol

I love my Numark N4 for its ability to be a standalone mixer, balanced + booth outputs, 2 microphone inputs, and finally timecode capability.

My Controller is awesome because…it is.
Tried several… pioneer T1,Ergo, the s4… it works but I needed something far better.

A friend of mine is a real specialist when it comes to DJ gear and showed me some 4midiloop stuff.
He got me interested for this but I wanted to use Traktor in external mix mode and have control over the midiclock function.
And there she was… the 4Tracktrigger… sold!

I mean, I like the 4Tacktrigger and all … my only gripe is it has so very few buttons … pffffff 🙂

I loved my MC6000 because it did what I needed it to do, is sturdy and the quality built you may expect from Denon. So, I decided to toss it aside and switch to two SC2900s with an X1600 mixer :-). I just love big jogwheels and the possibility to use CDs or USB sticks at times. And the mixer is a best of both worlds. Works wonders as a stand-alone mixer if so needed, but press the midi-button and beautiful stuff starts to happen when hooked up to a Traktor Pro MBP.

    Nice setup Chuck 🙂
Did you modify the TSI files for the SC2900’s?

(I really like the 2900’s, but didn’t like that it doesn’t have full support in Traktor (Led ring feedback)

Yep, there is that … 🙁 there is a specific tsi for the combination 2×2900 + x1600 that seems to work pretty good. Haven’t fully tried it out. I DO still have my MC6000 setup and am in the process of migrating. Circumstances make I can’t spend as much time digging into it. I did play with my new setup (without Traktor) with a USB stick with a condensed collection last sunday.

I use the idj pro and it’s great for what I do,

It’s intuitive the iPad in the middle gives great usability and the thing is simple but effective.

It’s not the most professional looking bit of kit and I get the odd comment when rock up at a club but it suits me fine

It’s on my wishlist for when I have sold the MC6000. It be my small gig/more mobile setup. Glad to hear it is good to work with!

Love the Terminal Mix, because the jogs are unbeaten to date (NS 7 does not count, they have a motor…).
