    log into the forum http://forum.mixvibes.com/

make an account, you have to register to get your updates – as long as you have a serial code on your program you can access the download for 3.3 – i had to update manually on my desktop and my laptop this time around.

Thanks, problem solved. Unfortunately Mixvibes provides no explanation that downloads need to be made through the forum.

not a problem – glad it helped – i agree it seems that they are not out right with everything on how the forum works if you are just getting into it. you ask for help and most of the time the replies are overly simplistic because it seems that they think you should now more about it already. oh well – enjoy the update!

Don’t forget they are french. And English nowhere near their first language, LOL.

But seriously, most of the guys I know at the forums over at Mixvibes are ok. Almost exclusively volunteers like Terry and me here, who spend their time trying to help others. So asking a question on the forum is not exactly the same as asking something like a helpdesk (which, as far as I know, they don’t have). Mixvibes staff do monitor the forums and will jump in if need be.

There is sometimes a bit of a “RTFM” attitude, but it also depends a little on how you ask your questions. I have seen guys coming in, guns blazing, DEMANDING that their problem be solved here and now. If not, then … <fill in the blanks>.
This behavious WILL get you flamed on the Mixvibes forum for sure.

My experience is that if you stay calm and collected and ask a clear question, you will get a decent and usually to-the-point answer.

I have to say I still love using Cross and I’ll take the less than optimal support (still better than some hardware manufacturers for example!) for granted. Work with it, don’t fight it!

    😀
