So I decided to re-format the Mac back to factory as when I opened the box the day I bought it. So I am now on Lion. Both Cross DJ 3.1 and 3.2 installed just fine. However 3.2 is not recognizing my sound card. Also note that it is not just with my Pioneer but also with my Denon MC-2000. Both work great with the stable 3.1
In fact the strangest thing, My Pioneer XDJ-Aero now is practically plug and play with 3.1 I don’t understand it. It isn’t on the list of controllers but when I plug it in it appears with its own tab on the top in the MIDI menu and works without programming.
Here’s my new problem with the release candidate. I suspect I am going to be suggested to upgrade my OS but everything is running so smooth now, I don’t know if I will. I love how fast the computer shuts down again when it is time to go home 🙂
Any advice that makes sense on how to get Cross DJ 3.2 to work is appreciated

Don’t forget … it still IS a rc-version. Did you report your findings to the RC-forum over at MixVibes?

    Hey Gerard,

Just to update you on my own progress. I had just returned from my trip and missed the official release on the 23rd of 3.2.

I too had my MBP reformatted and re-installed, but with the latest Maverick version x.3? I had 3.1 Cross and 3.2RC on there.

I installed 3.2 yesterday and it would crash upon opening. So, I went and deleted all Cross programs from the programs folder, as well as the dock icon for cross. Rebooted the Mac. Then I went and downloaded the install from the updates folder at the forum (it made it into a filename(1).dmg, so looks like the same file) and ran it.

Opened Cross 3.2 and worked like a charm.

I haven’t had a controller or external sound card hooked up yet, so can’t tell you about that. Does 3.2 not recognize your soundcard, but can you select it in output settings?

    Greetinx.

Well, I did the same. That is, I erased the program and the went to the Mixvibes site and downloaded a fresh copy. Installed opens and works with the standard “built-in” output. To answer your question, yes it does recognize my other soundcards but when I click on it I get a message that it cannot use it and suggest that perhaps I am using it with another program (which I am not). Note I have installed drivers and also my soundcards work with all other software. I left a dropbox video link but I link yuo have to copy-paste if you care to see. I haven’t had time to mess with it more. Sticking to my old set u for now. I will try again soon. I will post here or maybe we should start 3.2 thread rather than the RC.

    Yep, sounds like a plan.

    This one will close.

P.s. there is no dropbox link? (answer me in 3.2 thread 🙂
