Hey Todd, here at Digital DJ Tips, we cater to digital DJs, so our courses are also geared towards that audience. In the case of the MixTape course, you can do that with just about any music, recorded in any way. Running your mixers rec out (or whatever output you have – just be sure not to touch any knobs that change the output levels of the recorder sound while you are mixing) into your soundcard to go into audacity should work imho.

I think the standard settings are 16-bit/44KHz and that should work just fine.

@DJ Vintage – Have you guys cancelled the MixTape course? I was also considering taking it but when i click on the link, it only show a video, no link on where to purchase the course.

    Thanks

Hey GJ, unfortunately you have to sit through the entire video. It has an “add to cart” button close to the end. I’ll suggest to Phil to add an “order immediately” button under the video on the landing page.

Does anyone happen to know, do you need the full version of the software for this, or could I get by with just Serato Intro?
