    Hi Jeremy,

    headphone mixing for me as well. Did use monitoring in the past, but i like to ‘be close to the music’ when mixing, just like you.

    next question: split cue or not? 🙂

    Well split cue beats no split cue by a mile imho. But then I am not a big fan of in-can mixing. I prefer a monitor (single one is just fine – I actually like it better than having two in the booth) and using half of my headphones.

    Everyone picks his own favorite way and there is no right or wrong, no better or worse.

    I am with Vintage, but only because I have done so for 20 years and back then I did not have split cue hehe
