    I just thought it would be good for a few of us to get together and do a streamed event there are already groups of DJs on Mixify doing it. if we see how many people are interested we can take it from there. I can go with most genres though Tech, Deep and Soulful House are main choices. Dubstep is defo not for me though and DnB is my weak point. That doesn’t mean that those can’t be played as depending on who and how many are interested not all the DJ’s have to play on every event but we could all be under one banner so to speak. I think it’s possible to set up one account and have multiple log ins into that account but each DJ would need to set up an event time then as one DJ finishes a set the next DJ can start

    Well 3 is a god number to start off with so whenever you guys have free time. I’m thinking possibly a “Sunday Session”. Let’s think up a group name for the account to be set up under. Anyone good at Logo design?

    just been on mixify and watched the tutorial on how to stream my set, looks easy…… i am definatly up for it 🙂

    I run a line from my booth out mixer in to the mic input on my Laptop. I do it like that as the booth vol control allows me to control the gain output or you coild use the record out on the mixer.
    Mixify itself is easy, when a DJ logs in they set their line input on the drop down menu (in my case it’s the line in) and set the gain levels. There a counter which counts down to the start of the event and once it’s at zero there’s a button to click to start streaming. A 2hr recording starts automatically and at the end of the event you can either publish it or delete it.. I tend to record on Mixify and record into Audacity at the same time that way if I do more than 2hrs I have a recording also Mixify records in mp3 not WAV.
    There’s a fairly straight forward tutorial on the site
    The site is still in beta but there is talk about intergating Tracktor to stream straight to the site so the tracks tags are displayed automatically when you stream, at the moment you have to manually type the track info which I can’t do for every track when I’m mixing

    I’d be pretty interested in doing this. I play rather commercial Dubstep and House (not everyones cup of tea) but I’d be interested. I just have one question.

    Will there be a video feed? Cause that is seriously the only thing I am lacking right now

    Well I’m not in UK but +1 hour shouldnt be a problem. I’m home in house/trance so if you want an extra person just let me know.

    Ps: I’ve streamed on mixify a few times so it’s not new there.

    I won’t be home anyways sunday 16th, but further down the road I’d be happy to join you guys, sounds like fun to me. Never streamed a set before but that should be no biggie.

    I do Tech/Deep House, Minimal Techno, Electro House but need a lot more practice for decent Dubstep mixing…
