    i haven’t used a mic yet, but I have the s4 now and have been considering picking up one to use for mixing purposes like dub fx does. Has anyone used a mic for effect use?

    I usually play reggae and back here there is no way you can play reggae without hyping up the crowd. Usually I’ll have a buddy do it, we call them MCs here, but occasionally I have had to do it myself. Its fun and you get to interact with the crowd well. What do I say? Mostly some witty comments about the track playing, or to sing along a line(never beyond one line or the crowd will boo you off) and wait for the crowd to sing along the next, its crazy but it keeps every one on the floor.

    I never use a mic. and I hate when a electronic music DJ does it.

    I have couple mics but I never take them with me. I just plug my headphones into the mic output when I need to, seems to work just fine.
