🙂 I can’t even get one single beltpack for that price, let alone 4 channels worth of wireless.

The cheapest and easiest fix would be using something like this: http://www.rsdmusic.com/products.asp?prodid=3192&catid=81&mcatid=12

It’s cheap, it’s basic and don’t expect miracles. But … you CAN run 4 mics from your wireless set into this and then one cable out to one of the TWO mic in channels on the PA set. And it DOES run from a single 9V battery. Clearly you’ll need power for the wireless set. I doubt the input/outputs on the mic mixer are balanced so you’d be well advised to stay close to the PA mixer with your wireless set.

I actually have had one of these units in my case since forever. It has come in handy once or twice where I suddenly needed more mics (wired) than my DJ mixer/controller could handle. And at that price it was an instant write-off.

Alternatively, since you do need mains power for the wireless set (the 19″ receiver part), you might go for a small 4 (mic) channel PA mixer and take it’s master volume out to the line input of the PA. This has the added benefit of tone control for each mic channel as well as faders for volume.

    Okay, cool. Thanks Vintage!

I’ll have to see if I can find something similar to that over here in the US. Also, heh, like a derp I didn’t think about the power for the main unit.

Usually our panel is approved within the con’s schedule and i just brought the mics in and the sound guys hooked it up and everything for us. But because of an issue last year, we didn’t get it and ran the panel out of schedule, but without mics. Needless to say, that didn’t really go all that well. I planned on DJing while we are gathering a crowd before we start, so being able to hook up the mics would be an advantage.

Worse comes for worse, I’ll just borrow my dad’s mic for our one person. The rest of us are usually loud enough!
