Well I would say the controller is pretty secondary for that (any controller with big and easy to hit push buttons will work).
What you rather should ask yourself is: What software would you like to run with.
Maschine comes with its own (very good) software which caters more to a traditional beatbox workflow, but can also do really interesting stuff if you take the time to learn it.
Ableton (with Launchpad or Push) is much more a mix between DAW and synchronized sample player. I really like how easy it is to get notes and midi into the mix with Ableton, but also be aware it has a steep learning curve.
Of course you also have the choice to take Traktor and its Remix decks. You can load up Remix sets pretty easily and go from there, but you need to understand song basics or it will still sound like a train wreck.
In the end there is no best, just the workflow you prefer.
