    Because they are 2 totally different things.
    Maschine basically is a sequencer / sample player and comes with a complete software package.
    While a keyboard is just a keyboard.
    Not that you could not do the same with both if you like.

    If you are into the Maschine Software (aka you that this software and what it delivers is for you) then I would go for Maschine.
    If you want to sequence yourself and rather go for a hardcore program like Reason, then I would take a midi keyboard, it can even be a cheap one and some pad controller.
    (I went with Maschine as the MK I is now so cheap… and sufficient as it runs the new software also.)
