    This isn’t possible, as Serato can only read the iTunes XML file, not alter it.

    What Phil said.
    Of course if you only want to use Serato, you can always use Serato’s crates and smart crates to create playlists inside Serato, but they will not transfer to iTunes.

    What I tend to do is organise my music using the Virtual folders system in Virtual Dj (essentially crates) – I then export the folders as playlists and import them into iTunes.. Then I sync up to my iPod – my backup device..

    There is no way for any DJ software to edit the iTunes library folder directly currently though.
