get on soundcloud and get yourself a lite account… from that you can post mixes and get feedback and also make them available for download. With the lite account you get who were and when your mix was played or dloaded. Very good is my opinion for getting a podcast series going…. when you get a following then you can start think of using something more professional like itunes…were it can be seen by thousands.

lite account is $29 a year.. you get double the upload space … plus you get to see some stats of were and who listens and downloads podcasts etc. Free account is cool but as im doing a podcast series myself i want to have a few up there and not have to be deleting them all the time to make space for more mixes

start of with free acount… and go from there

    happy mixing

For what it’s worth I get more plays on house-mixes.com. Soundcloud is more professional though.

I’ve never had any problems but I don’t play anything too commercial either. It’s like anywhere else, technically you should only play things you have the rights to, but it’s up to the label to flag it. Which I doubt happens very much there. There’s an option to put in your tracks, just like Mixcloud except you aren’t forced to do it. I always do whenever I upload a mix anywhere, spread the word on your favorite artists and all. I use Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Mixcrate and House Mixes. I find I get the most hits at House Mixes though. I get the least at Mixcloud.

They cant copyright tracks in a mix…. its only if you do short mixes or fades…which technical isnt really mixing. In summary if the tune can be downloaded and cut out of mix then they can take them down. Just mix well…which is what you should be doing anyways…lol

It doesn’t matter what you do with a track it will always be covered by copyright laws.
