Find a venue that will let you do things as you wish, bring them all the business, let the competitors suffer, and tell them if they want you then they have to let you play all over.
Let them get mad…if they’re losing money and you’re making other venues money, then they can’t say anything. Whoever controls the crowd is the one who calls the shots. They’re paying you to bring them a crowd…so utilize that logic.
Another idea is to make a new name for yourself for each venue. So you’re DJ Tyler in the first, DJ Vulgar in the second, and so on. If they make a stink, you just say you’re not performing as the other guy in the other venues.
