I think I saw them at the Frankfurt show, could have been the 550s though. Bit hard to judge when you are listening to speakers on a stand with a zillion other stands with blaring speakers around you. They sounded fine to me. Actually look good, sounded good and nice amp module with a lot of power. If they took some of the stuff they learned from the HD-series, that would definitely be a plus.
I like the presets for various purposes (monitor, normal, speech). Have those on my HDs and it simplifies things, just flip the switch and off you go. What I don’t like (because most don’t work) is the feedback killer, but I haven’t had a chance to check that feature out. Based on ample experience with feedback destroyers, I usually recommend leaving it off. And for DJs feedback isn’t all that much of a problem anyway.
