You run your laptop solely for dj software? How do you get the music into the software? Itunes via net? or is your library on an external drive?
Only benefit I can see from running a windows laptop is having music collection on an external drive and running solely software on it, which does have its risks. MAC!!
I would say your Mac support in the company is really bad then D-Jam.
I am using Macs for Music (not DJing but production) since 1998 and I have not seen a Mac of mine crash, ever since then.
I also have only ONCE in that time re-installed a Mac (that was the switch to Intel processors) and have since only upgraded from one OS X to the next and carbon copied my installation to a new Mac… it just works.
