Thank you Terry, now I have been living my Rokits for a week my question feels a bit silly.

You’re right, they simply go into a power down mode after 30mins and wake up without interaction when they recieve a signal.

Personally my opinion is that they are much easier to live with that the Reloop WAVE-5’s I had. Also they are ‘for me’ an all round much nicer monitor – They are much more bassy than the Reloop’s so I’m sure they not everyones cup of tea.
But for me as a house music fan – they are an improvement and the recent price reductions of the Rokits make them a lovely speaker in my man cave.

I don’t know why but they seem to have given my tunes a new lease of life and I’m enjoying them more (again)
I highly recommend the Rokits 6’s (which I have) to anyone looking for modestly priced a little bass heavy monitors.

    🙂

Well, since the KRK-series IS made as a studio monitor (not a DJ monitor), they have tried to make it as neutral as possible. So if you feel they are bassy compared to your Reloops, I’d say the Reloops lacked bass. The KRK’s are not known for enhanced bass performance, as any kind of enhancement (i.e. deviation from straight frequency response) would limit their usefulness as a (studio) monitor.

    Greetinx.
