Apparently audacity supports caf. And it definitely can convert audio files. And it is free.

Might want to check it out.

Audacity + Reaper is probably cheapest full version music production software- for 60$ anyways….Talking about pro stuff.

I have audacity, not sure if I can convert multiple files though. Bearing in mind I have nearly 1000 I’d like to convert, using audacity could be a lengthy process :/
