    Django Reinhardt, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Louis Armstrong, Sophie Milman, Kurt Elling, Gerschwin, Marcus Miller, Nat King Cole, Eddie costa, Eroll Garner, Michael Buble, Louis Prima are among my favorites.

    Then there’s the lounge/jazz groups : dolls combers, Gotan project (which is tango, but hey they should be able to deal with it…), caravan palace.

    Menno pretty much named already all Jazz artists I know, maybe add in Cannonball Adderley, Dave Brubeck, Galactic (more funk-based though, stick with the early works), Stanton Moore, Joe Zawinul, Jimmy Smith.

    Also check out Renegades of Jazz, probably won’t fit into the evening you’re playing at, but it’s cool stuff nevertheless:

    Cool topic, I’ve always wanted to listen to some more jazz, now there’s a huge list of artists to check out.
