    Tip 1: Limit your collection to 1500-2000 tracks. Anything over that is overkill really. If you are a mobile DJ that needs many tracks for request purposes, you can keep them in an external HD which you can browse through the file/folder browsing facility of your DJ software.

    If you move a track from it’s original location, Traktor will keep the beatgrid and cue point info (unless you delete the track from the library). It will also show the file (with an exlamation mark or something saying it can’t find the actual track). If you ever put the track back (in it’s original place in iTunes folder) you should be able to play it again.

    My tip is don’t do it! I tried this when I first started just ended up being a nightmare.
