    Honestly, you have simply too much music.

    That does not mean you need to get rid or delete stuff (but many of us do), however you should simply limit your DJing collection to well under 1k songs.
    A DJ needs to know his collection intimately to know breakdowns of songs, key phrases, mix-in and mix-out points etc. etc. and most importantly “what song next to play”.
    There simply is no way to be familiar with 6k+ songs and unless you are a wedding DJ who has to cater to whatever anyone says, you do not need to.
    Quality over quantity is the key here.
    I for example am now limited myself to 600 songs. Whenever I add a song to the DJ collection (which I have in iTunes) I back up one old song and delete it from iTunes.
    600 songs is still well over 30 hours of music at least and those consist only of the best 600 tracks I know to date…
