Yeah highly get the case that is made for your controller as it was designed with it in mind. Its a good solid investment and definely worth the original outlay.

Did not have that specific case, but Odyssey is a well respected company and all products I had from them were very good quality and good bang for the buck.

So you say I should wait and save the money to buy this case instead of looking for an alternative?

It largely depends on your needs.
If you are someone who bangs around his gear in a tour bus, has sound crew people (who do not care about your gear) slash the stuff around etc. you should invest enough, so the quality of protection is the best.
If you take care of your gear, transport it on your own, or in your car and are only using it as a flightcase on rare occasions, then you can search for cheaper possibilities or even a bag if you do not fly with it.

I transport it myself in a van and I’m extremly cautious about it. However, even if DJ equipment is metal made, I still think of it as if it was made of glass, maybe Im wrong and can wait for the case until I get longer travels.

After I found out that Guitar Center didn’t either carry or have an Odyssey Flight Case for my Denon MC6000 controller, I ordered one from Amazon. So far, I have no regrets although once I opened the flight case up I’ve only managed to place my controller inside and laptop on the glide so I have no insight right now how it will function moving it around.

The case didn’t come with velcro straps for the laptop, but I’ll probably tote the laptop in something else. The case does come with extra padding for the MC3000, but since I have the MC6000 there is no need to use the extra pads. The MC6000 fits perfectly into the flight case and I can get to all of the front and rear ports so I’m not sure what issues the reviewers on Amazon were talking about.

    Here’s the case I got. http://www.amazon.com/Odyssey-FRGSDNMC6000-Denon-DN-MC6000-Single/dp/B004OZUIVI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1352396000&sr=8-5&keywords=denon mc6000 flight case

I think it was shipped from overseas. It took about 1 week for it to reach California and then another week to reach the Southeastern part of the US via UPS Ground Delivery. Nice build and I like it a lot.
