Clearly we have a different look at the world. Laptop and controller offer features and advantages that actually open up new possibilities to explore and great creative freedom.
Having been at the decks since age 14 (in 1977), growing up with vinyl, then CD, then MP3 (hardware-based systems) and now fully digital, I dare venture that while it’s perfectly viable to DJ with “traditional” analogue gear (and using RB and USB-sticks doesn’t make that digital) – which I still do if the situation calls for it by the way – I would not go back to it from having had all that true digital DJ-ing has to offer.
Just my two cents as usual.
