    Very Pleased to hear that your First Gig Went Well 😎

    Hi Emma, thanks for the welcome! I wasn’t completely satisfied with my performance personally but there were no major mistakes and everyone who was there seemed to enjoy it and I would have settled for that beforehand as I was quite nervous! All in all a good learning experience as it was the first time I had played on a club system!

    That is Amazing in itself Luke; to Actually Play on a Club System for the First Time; No Wonder you were Nervous :);
    You ‘May’ be a ‘Perfectionist’ like Me; in the Sense that it is Difficult to ‘Feel’ Completely Satisfied with Our Performance;
    Only last night I Finally Finished a Track I have been working On for 3 Months; Loaded it up to Soundcloud (Dubstep); and now having heard it again there is just a ‘Few Seconds’ that I would like to Change; but Soundcloud is Down 🙁
    But I wasn’t ‘Satisfied’ with my Last Radio Set either; yet is has gone All Around The World now; with Rave Reviews

    However; if the Crowd Were Pleased at your Gig; and you Learned Something; that is a Major Step Forward 🙂 😎

    Yeah, I think you will always be striving for a perfect or near perfect peformance but due to the nature of a live performance things can and will go wrong regularly even for seasoned pro’s! For me it was more a case of eliminating the major mistakes that I could make and getting through it unscathed as it was a bit daunting – it may sound stupid but it was just so loud to me! I was constantly struggling to keep the eq’s right for each track incoming and outgoing – I was never 100% sure I had got it spot on! That was probably the hardest thing for me personally!

    Yes; You Made An Exact Point there 😀
    At Home in Our Headphones we can make Really Small Adjustments and ‘Feel’ the Quality of the Difference; but with a Big PA Pounding the Bass and Kick Drum; those ‘Highs’ seem to get Lost in the Mix (Not Always Of Course);
    I have watched Adam Beyer and Carl Cox at Tomorrowland a Number Of Times (as they are So Good); but Both of them Trainwrecked Once during their Set; which is Marvelous Really; because as you say; Even The Pro’s Get It Wrong 🙂
    Some DJ’s Play The Same Set wherever they go; and so I suppose ‘Know’ their Sets (And all the EQ’s) like the Back Of Their Hand; but for me Personally (I can Only do Radio at the moment – but it is with World Class DJ’s); I like to not only Play A Different Set each time; but a Different Genre; so it all Continues To Be Fresh And New 😎

    Hey Luke, welcome! Well done on your first gig, you’re already a long way ahead of a lot of DJs. Playing live is the only way to really improve…

    Cheers Phil! Yeah, I learnt a lot from the experience. Just need to get some more now… I’ve read some of the relevant blogs so need to find the time to put them into practice!
